Dollywood is a theme park that is co-owned by Dolly Parton, A famous country singer and entertainer, and Herschend Family Entertainment. It is located in the Great Smokey Mountains, near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where Dolly grew up. Dollywood also houses the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame. Dolly Parton, her family and other nationally and locally recognized musical concerts appear at the park yearly and many Gospel and Country’s stars are enshrined in the museum. Dollywood sits on 130 acres with seven roller coasters and four water slides.

Dollywood has ten areas in the park that have different themes to them. Showstreet’s main attraction is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame. Rivertown Junction contains a replica of the Locust Ridge two-room home Dolly grew up in as a child and Craftsmen's Valley where the “Wings of America Birds of Prey” performance, by the American Eagle Foundation is located. The Village has performances of “Heartsong” during the cold months and during the summer, The Little Engine Playhouse is open for the children. The Country Fair holds most of the rides in one place for those who love to play at Demolition Derby, Scrambler or get lifted high in the Wonder Wheel. Timber Canyon features ‘Thunderhead,’ a wooden roller coaster with a great view. Jukebox Junction is bringing a tricked out 1950s-era hot rod roller coaster with 20-seconds of airtime in 2016 in this area. Owen's Farm holds a water toboggan called the Mountain Slidewinder, where you have to climb the terrain to board. Adventures in Imagination has Dolly’s actual tour bus that she used. It can give you an inside look at how an entertainer lives while touring. Finally, Wilderness Pass has fun for the kids at ‘Firehouse Fun Yard,’ ‘Wilde Eagle’ for those who want to experience the feeling of flying, and ‘River Battle,’ where someone is inevitably going to get wet, one-way or the other. There are 2,500,000 visitors a year.

This is the only theme park listed in Pigeon Forge. There's also ten attractions listed in this city in other categories. You will find the exact location of Dollywood on the map above.
