Kahiwa Falls

The tiered waterfall located in the island of Molokai in Hawaii features a 2,165-foot drop although only the 1,749-foot main drop is usually counted.

The Kahiwa Falls features six tiers that fall directly into the ocean. As it is located in the most isolated and remotest portion of the island, getting a view of the waterfall from its foot is an impossible feat. Most visitors get a glimpse of the mighty waterfalls by sea or from air.

A helicopter tour around the Kahiwa Falls will allow tourists to see among the tallest sea cliffs in the entire world, which is where the waterfall weaves through. The sheer cliffs and the beautiful, undistracted views of the falls’ blue waters and white foams are what await tourists up in the sky.

The nearby Papalua Falls is often mistaken to be the Kahiwa Falls but the differences are pretty clear: Papalua can be found at the end of a 0.9-km valley while Kahiwa falls directly into the Pacific Ocean.
