New Mexico is made up of deserts, mesas, snow-capped peaks and heavily forested mountains in the northern areas. There are also several national monuments around the area, managed by the National Park Service, and these include Aztec Ruins National Monument, Bandelier National Monument, White Sands National Monument and Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Other places to check in New Mexico are the Sandia Peak Tramway, Santa Fe Opera House and the Museum of International Folk Art.
