Universal Studios

Universal Studios Florida is a theme park that opened June 7, 1990, as another park made after the Universal Studios Hollywood in California. There were 8,263,000 visitors to the theme park in 2014.

The park was designed with seven themed areas. The first area is Production Central, where you can find Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster. The second themed area is New York where The Blues Brothers Show and Revenge of the Mummy can be found. The third area is San Francisco. At the time of writing the area is under construction for Fast & Furious – Supercharged, which is scheduled to be ready in 2017. Until then there are places to dine such as Chez Alcatraz and San Francisco Pastry Company. The next area on the list is THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER - DIAGON ALLEY where you can experience Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and Live Performances. The fifth themed area is the WORLD EXPO where Fear Factor Live and Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl is located. The WOODY WOODPECKER’S KIDZONE is the sixth area where you can find Animal Actor’s on Location and E.T. Adventure. The final area is HOLLYWOOD where Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show and TERMINATOR 2: 3-D can be found.  Throughout the theme park, you may be able to see the Universal’s Superstar Parade.
