Knott's Berry Farm

Knott's Berry Farm is an amusement park that began as a rented 20-acre farm by Walter and Cordelia Knott. It is now a 160-acre amusement park, sold by their children in December 1997 to Cedar Fair, L.P. There were 3,683,000 visitors in 2014.

There are four themed areas within the park. The first themed area, Ghost Town, has attractions like Silver Bullet and Butterfield Stagecoach. There are 14 locations where you can purchase food. You can experience a Blacksmith’s work or see what is playing at the Bird Cage Theater.  Fiesta Village is the second area, based on California's early Spanish heritage, with attractions Montezooma's Revenge and Waveswinger. The Boardwalk (previously the Roaring 20s from 1975-1995) has rides Supreme Scream and Sky Cabin. It has a Boardwalk Ballroom and an Arcade-Lazer tag area. In 1983, Camp Snoopy was added to the park, making the park the first to have an area designed for kids. Indian Trails is a nice stop on the way to relax and explore a bit.

It was the Knotts' decision to build the replica of Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. It is free to Farm guests and anyone who would like to see it. There are also a few places outside the theme park.  Knott's Soak City Water Park and KNOTT'S BERRY FARM HOTEL sit just outside the amusement park, along with the Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant in the California Marketplace.
