Although Florida is known for its beautiful beaches, a majority of the revenue from its tourism industry alone is largely due to the numerous amusement parks in the state. An estimate 23 million tourists may have visited Florida beaches but its most famous amusement park, the Walt Disney World, was able to draw in more than double the amount of visitors.

The Walt Disney World alone consists of four theme parks, 27 themed resort hotels, two water parks, four golf courses, 9 non-Disney hotels and other recreational areas. Most of Florida’s theme parks can be found in the Greater Orlando area in Central Florida. Other amusement parks that you must try visiting include the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Gatorland and Legoland Florida. Wherever you go in Florida – and especially in Orlando – you can be sure that there is a place for anyone of any age to enjoy.
